Thanks to generous National Lottery Funding, we launched a year-long community development project at our community space which was created in response to what local people told us they wanted and needed. We facilitated and supported others to deliver a mixture of regular social and creative activities including dedicated SEN/SEND sessions. We supported local residents with the help of Salford CVS to start and grow their own groups, helping them become fully independent and community-led. Throughout the year, we welcomed new groups and one-off sessions including The Fix-It-Folk CIC, Purple Kind CIC, BraveSpace Arts, a children’s drama group with Crooked Arts, Family Creative Fridays, Happy Tea Gathering, a music ensemble, a public living room, film screenings, Friday Funk Club and The Hangout SEND After-School Club plus many seasonal events.

The project has strengthened local connections, reduced isolation, and created a vibrant, inclusive space where people of all ages and backgrounds can build friendships, learn new skills and take part in community life.
